Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)

Our vegetable subscription program (CSA) is designed to help both the consumer as well as the farm they are supporting.  Here's the idea: you invest in our farm (a share) before the growing season begins.  THen you receive a weekly dividend: tasty local fruits and vegetables.

When harvesting begins you get a box or bag of the best produce our farm, your farm, has to offer.  You get the benefit of the freshest vegetables available for less than you would pay retail, a personal relationship with your farm and farmer, and the satisfaction of supporting a local farm. 

Getting capital upfront allows us to get seed and fertilizer at discounted rates and have money to pay for labor and supplies before harvesting begins.

Farming by nature has some inherent risk.  By supporting the farm through the CSA program you are investing in the farm and sharing in the risk.  However, farming is extremely weather dependent.  Sometimes we may encounter weather bad enough to effect the appearance or variety of food you will receive.

We offer 3 differently sized shares to choose from.

  • Double share for $925 (only $38.60/week), Which is ideal for large families or splitting with friends. Usually the same selection as the Full share but with twice as much food.
  • Full share for $525 (only $21.90/week), Great for most families, this is what my wife and I eat in a week. Most years it will contain two each of 6-8 retail-sized items each week. In good years it could be as many as nine items; in poor years it might be 5-6 items.
  • Half share for $325 (only $13.55/week), Best for singles, small families, or folks who are looking for an introduction to farm fresh vegetables. The Half share is usually the same selection as the Full share but with half of the quantity.

If you don't have the need for a double share, but you and a friend would each like a full share, you can take advantage of the discount and split a double!  The same applies for 2 people who would like to split a full share.
