Fall Radishes

Bleeding Heart Radish

Daikon Radish

Fall Radishes are best when the days get shorter and the temperatures begin to cool down:
September 1 - November 27

Larger, spicier, and more weather tolerant than spring radishes. Fall radishes are really great addition to hearty fall and winter stews. They take beautifully to overnight pickling or natural pickling (though the red ones bleed and turn uniformly pink). We also like to slice them thinly on a mondoline and dress them for salads.
