Head Lettuces



Available from May 15 - December 1, with a production gap of two or three weeks in the height of summer


This is a staple food. Highly versatile, lettuce leaves can be used to wrap spoonfuls of tasty things (like couscous with golden raisins and almonds). They can be dressed for a salad or, with more strongly flavored lettuces, made into a custard.
